Limited Slip Differential Advice
Hey guys,
My previous xDrive M235i just got totaled and I am likely picking up a RWD M235i next week. I am looking to get a LSD for increased traction in the dry and poor winter conditions because this will be my daily driver and fun car. Can someone explain to me the difference between the M performance LSD, Quaife LSD, Wavetrac LSD, and many others? Are they all the same and I can save a little by picking one brand over the other, or are they used for different purposes? Any and all help/advice is appreciated! -Ryan

I went with the Quaife diff from Birds Auto in the UK and had it shipped to US. Its mechanical so no clutches like M performance which require you to stay on top of fluid changes.
This was a great mod. Really improved the driving dynamic. |
