Nope, No coding necessary assuming you keep the same rear ratio.

Is there specific coding to be done if you do change ratios? The car has a manual trans.

No problem with the MT6. But the ZF8 with bring up a warning when you get to 8th saying there is an issue if the ration is not what it expects. It can be coded but not simply.

I asked because I was reading a thread in the F30 3 series forum where it was stated the wheels sensors need recalibrating after differential install.
I had not heard that anywhere before. I know I didn't code anything on my M240 after I had a Quaife installed.
