Adaptive LEDs retrofit on pre-LCI F22
Hi all,
does anybody know if it is possible to retrofit Adaptive LED headlights like those found on LCI F22s on a pre-LCI F22 with HID headlights? I know some people replace the HID bulbs with LED ones thus getting much brighter lighting, but I was wondering if the whole headlight ensemble of the LCI can be retrofitted. They also sport a slightly slicker design and the turn signal also looks different being an LED as opposed to a halogen bulb. |

I can’t find anyone that has gone from pre-LCI halogen to LCI adaptive LED. It is likely possible, but even going from pre-LCI adaptive xenon to LCI adaptive LED (which has more discussion at least), it can be be prohibitively expensive. You would need not just the headlight housings but different wiring harnesses and the supporting modules and heatsinks as well. See here: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=22685948 and https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...54&postcount=7 for example.
