Rotor Grooves
Using some generic solid vented rotors and after my first session on these notice a somewhat deep groove not present on the fronts, braking feels fine and sounds the normal squeal. Using power stop track day pads.
Pads are new and so are the rotors. Last edited by flypenfly; 11-07-2021 at 01:14 PM.. |

I would remove the pad that meets that rotor face and look at the matching arc on the pad face to see if there's something there that might be causing the groove. If you haven't already, you might also want to look at the inside faces of each rotor. They're probably fine, but it wouldn't hurt to confirm that.

Thanks, next time I get the car on a lift, I'll do a check.
I forgot I actually got Zimmerman rotors in the back, 34206797605. Hopefully they're fine, I was faster in later sessions of the day so I think it's working fine. |
