Body Shops
My car has a little scrape on the rear bumper. It's an older car and a DD. I'd like to get a few more years out of it and would like to improve on the scrape. What I don't need is perfect, which means removing the bumper and tail light and over $1100. There is just paint damage and since it is plastic, no risk of rust. Two shops have said they only do 'perfect'. I understand but that's not what I need. Do I need to get some paint and a roller from Lowes?

Yes, you need to do it yourself. A body shop is going to do it right, because you are paying for it and they are not going to risk you being disappointed and wanting then to do it again. However, you can buy a bumper cover from Rock Auto and have the body shop paint it for you and then do your own assembly. It would be a lot less than factory parts painted and installed by the body shop.
