BMW ACTIVE TOURER Wrong Order Factory

I received a call from BMW today informing me that my Active Tourer has arrived but the factory made a mistake in my order (they installed Manual transmission instead of automatic).

Does anybody have any experience with such cases and how do you suggest I react? (specifically ordered auto for my wife to drive it)...

They are trying to sell me the car at a reduced price!

Three options
1) teach wife to drive manual get car at discount.
2) don't accept car and reorder
3) don't accept car and go elsewhere

Thanks for the reply. Do they usually give another car until the new (correct) one comes? I had to sell my x1 to buy the new Active Tourer.

I would certainly ask, if the dealer said no write a nice letter to BMW or the regional rep.

X1 to the Active Tourer very interesting move.

Will see what they say tomorrow morning. My x1 was a manual diesel; good car but very stiff drive with manual especially in the city.

Factory doesnt make a mistake (Manual needs a number of changes, not just gearbox)
Dealer ordered wrong options.

Tell that to the guy who went to Munich to pick up his Individual Atlantis Blue M3 and found instead an Atlantic Blue M3.

Factory can make mistakes... NOTHING is perfect in this world.

After threatening the dealer to completely cancel my order, they called me and gave me a 316i used car and proceeded with a new order that will get a priority production in June. Hopefully, will be able to receive it by end of July

This happened to me in 2010. The dealer ordered heated seats but I did not ask for the option. Result: I got free heated seats.

The dealers have a lot of codes and boxes to sort out when they are placing an order. Far too complex, especially in Europe (US-Spec cars have more straight-forward 'packages' and fewer options).

BMW's not going to give you a loaner but they may give you a discount for the inconvenience.

I'd be demanding a good replacement until they get you what you ordered. Regardless of who's to blame (dealer or factory), they made promises they are not keeping, and as a result you need a car to drive 'til it is ready.

Mistakes are made as we are all human. I don't understand why some if you want to kick the dealer or BMW for a simple mistake.

Other option would be find another dealer they could trade with if someone else has something you'd be happy with. Although a standard active tourer might be very hard to move (hence the giant discount).
