Just display your current Map version from iDrive Option Screen, and if it is not ROUTE or EVO Map, you are good to go.

When I will to do the next update I'll have to redownload the file DE.fsc or I can use the old file?

Hi,

I have F25 from 2015 and when I try to update the map 2016-1 or 2016-2 europe next after confirmation of update availability (Start Update) it's give me the following message: "Please insert USB 1'.
I have a 32 GB USB and I copied all the files on the USB root folder.

Could you please help me?

So I just bought an FSC code to do the update, I live in West Europe (Switzerland), and Europe comes in 2 parts now "East & West".

Anyway, I used the code to update West first since I live there ( it asked for a code to update) and the next day I decided to update east Europe as well, I was not asked for a code this time and I don't know why!

The question is: does it matter which part (East & West) I update first? or both are fine? cause now when I check the Maps version is says "2016-2 Premium - East!

The FSC Code is same for both East and West versions, and needs to only be entered once initially when either version is first installed. Afterwards, you can switch back and forth between East and West maps, and not have to enter the FSC Code again.

When you say switch, you mean install the update again? or only change the country when entering an address?

so this means since I live in West, I keep west for now, but if I plan to go east, then I need to install east?

If you want to drive car with the Western European map to a country in the Eastern European map (e.g. Russia), you must upload the relevant Eastern Europe map material into the car before you cross into the region if you want to ensure more detailed navigation. If you switch from the Eastern European region to the Western European region, you must do the same, but the other way around.

If you care only about the main roads, then you should not have to switch maps.

Correct. If both maps could fit on CIC Hard Drive at same time, then BMW AG would have no need to split them up to begin with.

NBT Next for 2017-01 North America seems to have worked for me with 0xA8 and 0x28.
