mps4s - How long did your rear set last on rwd?
Roughly Feb of last year, I had a set installed. Right around now, I have put roughly 15k miles on them..
Halfway through the supposedly warrantied mileage. I was expecting I have plenty of tires left. Imagine my surprise when I check and saw that I have roughly 4/32 tread left on them... Keep in mind, I don't slide my cars around, I have never spins my tires on purpose and I have spin it accidentally by flooring it too hard on low gear maybe thrice and not for long. I bought those sets through a friend getting manufacturer price, but it also means there is not much paperwork on them and that means likely I wouldn't be able to make any kind of claim on them. On the bright side, I found a set of used wheels that Im purchasing soon so no big deals. So for those that use mps4s as well, how long did yours last? Did anyone ever managed to claim warranty when that fall short? |

Sounds about right for performance summer tyres on a RWD car with reasonable power. I normally plan on 20,000 to 25,000km (12 to 15K miles) to wear out a set in road use, 1,500 to 2,000km (900 to 1,200 miles) for track use.

Yes, about 15k is right. My experience after 8 years, 4 sets of the Michelin's and 138k miles.
Winter tires are PA4's. Same story here. You pay for performance .

Don't spin my tires and and I need my mp4s's on the rear replaced and I'm under 15K miles.
I'm staggered and didn't think there was any kind of mileage warranty on staggered tires. |

Best case I've gotten is 20,000 miles or so but they were practically slicks at that point and no good if it was wet.
