So after almost 4 months with an m235 that was sold to me with a tuned ecu and what turned out to be a blown engine I have a working car again. Carvana made things right and swapped out the broken m235i for a much nicer and fully functioning example of the 235. The car I chose for the swap is also a 2015, but it only has 39k miles compared to 50k on the other, and many more features (backup camera, cold weather package, Harmon Kardon etc) and best of all a coral red interior. Also love the glacier silver metallic paint a lot more than the alpine white. Needless to say I'm extremely excited to finally enjoy the m235i and happy Carvana made this situation right.

Out of curiosity, in that 4 months, what was the process like between you and Carvana? Was Carvana just having you try different solutions first such as repair and stuff first? Or did you have to keep asking for resolution? Or was it smooth sailing? |

That's great news! And glad to see there are still companies around that make things right.

This should be a lesson for everybody to never buy a car with any mods. In my opinion they are all ticking bombs to explode sooner or later.

A well modded car, with receipts from reputable shops, quality after market parts and maintenance receipts as well as a conscientious owner is not an issue. However many BMWs are leased and tuned, then get the crap beaten out by the leasee and then returned.

While we’re on the topic, stay away from Vroom. They might list sell your car to someone else before even cutting you a check. Then, make you call 8x to figure out where your money is at.
I’d sell a car all day long to them. Avoid buying. |

When you see "adult owned" in the ad, the seller is trying to tell you he's not that guy and that you may want to check the car out anyway. That's assuming you want the modifications, of course.

Social media can make or break a company. This 'review' moves the needle back to zero, however, they do tell you they do a full review and it seems they didn't do squat before selling you this car. Many others are likely to suffer in silence.

I’ve got a silver with red interior also, you will love the combo. Mines a manual though, 2014 with 21,000 miles.
