Tried to keep up with a 230i vert on my way back from Vegas. Kept up a couple miles with it but when it sped past 90 I backed off as I was in my SUV with family. Saw a blue M2 for a brief second but it was doing 90+ and all I saw was the M2 badge.

I live in SE Phoenix (the Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek area) and I have only seen a single BMW M2, but so far no other 2 series BMW's. So while it is cool rolling in a M240i with Mods to make a statement, I do admit it does feel a little isolated.
I wouldn't mind seeing a few more around. |

There are plenty of X-Series SUVs, though. Between the sales numbers for those and the 3/4 Series, I'm surprised that dealers even have 2 Series on their lots. Of course, the new 2 Series GC fixes that problem, which is all about price points for would-be BMW lessees. What a world, huh? Surprisingly, I did see a 2 Series at a stop light recently. It was coming out of a supermarket parking lot and aimed right at me (we were both at the head of our respective lines of cars), and I thought "Wow, another 2 Series!" Then it turned and I saw that it was...a 1 Series. What a letdown that was!

Every once in a while I see a 2er, maybe once in 2 months I'll see a 240, and almost never see another vert. I still get compliments at red lights, and from bikers rolling by. Mine is getting a new engine, and I can't wait to get it back...

I was in the wife's Mazda 3 lined-up behind an Estoril Blue M235i at Eastgate in Clermont County today. I initially saw it from the side in the roundabout I was entering and thought: "Whoa - there goes my car!"
That's the closest I've been to a 2 Series in the 4+ years I've lived in the Cincinnati region. I've had ~3 other sightings from afar during that time. Our cars are thin on the ground around here.

Same deal here. Lots of 3s, see them all the time, and occasionally a 5, 6 or 7. Rarely see a 2. More 1s than 2s even.

I saw my car going the other way in Greenville, SC over the weekend. It was a long way from home on Long Island!

I drove a 228i for three years (just traded in last week for a 2016 M235xi coupe in mineral gray) in the Detroit metro area. Tons of BMWs, relatively few 2 series. I've seen several M2s, a couple of white 228i convertibles. My "new" car is the only M235i I know of around here.

Not so often, but as luck would have it, there's a biter in my neighborhood with an exact copy of mine! Lol... But I was here first! And I'm tinted! Hahaha
Was weird as we passed each other... |
