Where to list M235i for 10K miles?

Advice, please. Where are the best places to list an M235i when you're selling it? I've got one with extremely low miles (10,800) that someone who knows cars will want, but not sure how best to get the word out. Thanks for any suggestions.

Be prepared to not get what you think its worth even with really low mileage. Most people buying sub $35k cars want/need to deal with dealerships as they've got loans and are looking to trade, have their loan paid off, and get a new loan. A private doesn't have that capability.

True this. Not only that, but the F22 is a coupe and there's a smaller market for small coupes vs sedans so your market is limited. My local BMW dealership always has a lot of CPO F22's sitting on the lot for long periods of time and I see the prices fall quickly month to month. You'd have to find an enthusiast that's looking for your particular vehicle to get close to what it books for. A good starting point on pricing would be kbb private party sale price to give you an idea of where to start at least. Good luck!

I sold my F22 here in the classifieds. If you're getting another BMW sometimes your dealer will help you with a pass through deal - you find buyer they handle paperwork.

I tried to get my dealer to do a pass through on a deal I had lined up for my M235i. I have purchased vehicles from them before and my new incoming M240i (arriving any day) was also ordered through them. I not only bought the M235i from them, but all of the service has also been performed by them. They were still unwilling to do a pass through despite my patronage. A pass though would have saved substantial taxes (we have no state income tax but a 10% sales tax here in WA).

Not sure how WA works but in PA at least there's a way to link car deals. Unsure private party but I know if I sell a car to CarMax for example then go buy a new BMW at a dealer, you can link those transactions for tax purposes. The dealer needs to help with the logistics.

Is the way it works that you only pay sales tax on the difference between the price of the car you're buying and the price at which CarMax sold your former car?

Yes - if I sell a car to Carmax for $15k and I buy a new car from BMW for $50k, if the BMW dealer does the paperwork correctly and the transactions are within a certain timeframe I'd only pay tax on $35k.
