Thanks! Nice video, but there was obviously a few amateurs on that track (especially the dope in the silver merc). A good car in the hands of a great driver can beat a great car in the hands of an average driver.

I've always wanted to see F1 mix up the grid. What would Hamilton be able to pull off in a Williams this year? Conversely, where would Russell have ended up if he were in a Mercedes? Do you still think Hamilton would have won? Would Russell have ended up two laps down? Alonso for the past few years is a great example of a great driver in a bad car. It seemed like he always over-achieved with it (when it didn't fail on him).

Yup, driver is everything. This is why I drive "underdog" cars, as this scenario is all too common at most weekend track events. Have similar stories of passing 911's/M4/Vettes at Area 27 (super fast and open) when the F22 was almost stock lol

Harry's Lap Timer app on my iPhone. I used a rubber band to attach it to my rear view mirror. Works well and was a cheap alternative to an actual mount in a pinch.
