How are the Gloss Black Wraps holding up to abuse? Weather? sunlight? Washing?
Anyone place a layer of 3m clear film over it prevent this? Any way to clean/polish these gloss wraps?

as long as your like most most on this forum and reguarly wash car and keep bird c**p off it,a and im guessing none of us use car washes either, then they last. Wrap guys im gonna use say this is the stuff they recommend to clean it. 3M Perfect-it perfect it show car paste wax, or Megulars Gold Class Carnuaba plus wax

I went with gloss black for those reasons:

A) it integrates well with the sunroof, looks the same
B) window trims are gloss black too
C) looks more oem than matte

Took a look at CF, but i have real CF on the car, it was not convincing to me..

Hope this help mate

Lastly, i decided to keep the sharkfin EB. The contrast is
Nice imho

^all valid reasons, not sure about the contrast between the EB fin and the gloss black roof. Might look better with the fin also gloss black but whatever floats your boat man.

i agree defiantly go gloss black on fin as well as roof. Looks odd otherwise.kinda incomplete.

i also think it works best on white cars than any other colour so you really see the contrast of B&W.

That gloss Black roof looks just Stunning.
Is this the 3M 1080 product that was stated earlir in the post?

The wrap is still good to apply polish and wax to it?
Any good quality wax or are there certain waxes for the wrap?
Sending the car in on Monday for window tint and contemplating getting the roof wrapped as well.

Did you used 3M or you painted the roof?
If you used 3M, how did you put it in the shark fin antenna?

Thank you

I want to get my white 235 wrapped, but I really want to make it look like track edition:

http://www.bmwblog.com/2014/10/22/bm...tion-see-road/

So I'm leaning a bit more towards matte black roof... you guys think it would blend in alright given a sunroof? Cause I'll be using matte black for other aspects of the car from spoiler to front lip area.

If your spoiler, diffuser, front lip, and maybe mirror covers are going to be matte black I would wrap the roof in matte black, too.

A few pics (not AW though)

At first glance I wished I had got the rails done, but I've grown to like it a lot without the rails being wrapped.
