Inside locking
Is there a way to lock my doors, as I am exiting the car, from inside without having to dig my fob out of my pocket and press the door lock button? Just a little clumsy to have to dig in my pocket for the fob just to be able to lock the doors. 2015 228i M-Sport.

You don't have comfort access I assume? I only ask because lots of people (my father included) have tons of shit in their car they don't know about.
If not I think you can retrofit it although I never really dug into it since I have it. EDIT: Here it is. Not cheap but doable. https://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw...ort-access-kit

I do not have Comfort Access. Bought this car eight months ago as a CPO from dealer in CA. Only "Must Haves" were: Estoril Blue & Manual Trans. At the time, this was the only car with those requirements that I could find anywhere in the U.S. !! This lock issue is very minor. Just figured if there were a way to lock the car without having to dig the fob out of my pocket, someone here would know how.

1. open door 2. press lock button on dash 3. get out 4. close door Does it stay locked? I only suggest this because I know I can press the comfort access bit on my handle before all my doors are closed. It will lock the ones closed, then when the last door is closed (say, if I'm carrying a passenger) that door locks and then the car beeps. |

Pressing the lock button on the dash, with the door open, will not lock the doors. It will, however, unlock the passenger-side door. If you are in the car and the doors are closed and you push the lock button the doors will lock. Seems like this should work, but it does not.

If you?re subscribed to Connected Services, you could download the BMW Connected app and lock it from your phone, which presumably is easier to reach than the fob might be
