MPE Not Available for '21 240 6MT

As title states: I placed an order for an M240 a couple weeks ago and got my production number today. Dealer gave me the list of port installed accessories and I'd requested an MPE and the CF tips among other things. He said he can't do MPE with manual transmission.

Anyone else run into this issue? Was really hoping to get the MPE/diffuser. Pretty bummed out tbh. Though I guess this opens the door to some other catback systems.

My dealer said the same, I said no way and they figured it out. However, the exhaust can not be installed at the port. You have to order it after the fact and get it installed. It is in fact compatible however.

I'm running into the same problem. I will probably have the dealer order and install the MPE, assuming it's compatible. I believe they said that the LSD couldn't me port installed either. I'm assuming that the '21 is identical to the '20 model? This sounds more like a computer glitch...

Yeah it's really frustrating cause I love the look of it with the CF tips.

Correct re: the LSD, its not even an option in the VIA Parts and Billing guide they gave me. Will likely buy the LSD whenever a center near me has a parts special. But like I said, on the bright side, now I can justify buying some other aftermarket. Leaning towards Remus or AWE, just would have really like to wrap up the MPE in original financing :P

I honestly don't know what it's like on the 240, but I had the MPE on my M2 and it was horrible. Loud, drone, rattles when cold; just a miserable experience unless you're at full throttle above 4K RPM.

I too am looking to buy the MPE. For whatever the reason, the 2021 M240 doesnt show up in the BMWUSA parts store at all. Was hoping to have my local dealer install it as well.

Hmm guess I may have dodged a bullet; though from what I could tell, the S55 was a lot more raw than the B58. Like I said though, this opened the door to a full catback anyways - really looking at Remus and Meisterschaft.

When I was trying to basic research on catalog parts, I just used the MY20 240 - my sales guy sent me a port installed accessories list (I think I attached it here, not sure if it worked or if I'm allowed to).

Yea, that makes sense. I was debating on ordering it (using a prior year) and installing it elsewhere. Just figured it would be a little easier to only have to deal with one place (the dealer) and have it rolled into the overall warranty; Not sure if they would have issue installing the muffler on a car that isnt listed for.

With my '21 M240i Convertible finishing production, I am starting to look at the MPE. I have it on my current leased M240i and would like to have it on my '21.

My CA, as many have pointed out here, was unable to add it as a PIA due to being a Manual. So I am looking at ordering it and would like to confirm part numbers since the '21 M240i does not show up as an option on many BMW part websites, but I would think if it fits the '20 it should fit the '21?

MPE: 18-30-2-424-608
Rear Diffuser: 51-19-2-343-355
Chrome or CF Tips: 18-30-2-354-364 (Single, would need two) or 18-30-2-355-889 (Set of two)

What about the finisher adapter, is it needed? (18-30-2-287-042)

I couldn't get anything port installed on my 21 F23 when I ordered it so I'm in the same boat as you but want to start upgrading my car (Technic PnP ASD bypass harness and SmartTOP go in the next week).
