228i Foglight cover replacement

Hi was wondering if these would fit in my 2015 228i

It has this style and wanted something more like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/193344566494

Has anyone replaced that part?

While waiting for someone with experience with such a part, could you please clarify? This is meant to cover the fog light with a grille to reduce light output?

This won’t fit your bumper as it is meant for the M Sport bumper and comes as standard with the M235i or M240i which require more airflow and don’t have front foglights.

It is used to delete foglights entirely.

Yeah I'm honestly just looking for a replacement for it

I don't like the current design of it

My car has the same design, and when the temps drop a bit to be outside longer, I am going to tightly mask and spray black gloss Plasti-dip on the silver accents and see if that helps. Tried and failed with wrapping that complex surface. I think the silver is the major aesthetic problem for my eyes.

This is something I considered too

I really do like those honeycomb grills tho. Surprised there's nothing out there as a replacement

There is another version of this, but without the hole for the oil cooler (and it isn't mesh). You could also try to find online overseas parts listings - they get different versions of trim. I know there is an M-bumper version that looks a lot like the one you are trying to replace (silver midline stripe w/fogs), so perhaps they also did a reverse version of the 228 with mesh?

As I've previously posted pics off I've wrapped the silver eyebrows and it makes a big difference in that's what your issue is.

I'm quite keen on the above though. Anybody know where you'd get them from?
