Question M235i Stage 2 (Bootmod3) Logs

Backstory:

I recently installed a stage 2 kit on my M235i including an intake. I was having some issues with a "Mass air too high" and "Running too rich" CEL codes. Some hiccups and stuttering at light throttle/low RPM applications.

I swapped back to the stock intake with a K&N dry filter, because I found out that these cars don't really play well with intakes that aren't in a closed box. Car seems to run much better. Although, I still get a "Mass air too high".

I also got told by ProTuningFreaks that the octane in my car wasn't up to snuff and I should run a 91 octane tune instead of a 93 octane tune.

Present:

I flashed to a 91 octane tune and wanted to share my logs for some feedback.

Some normal driving with some light pulls: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5e61...0b43598fdf16fd

Is there an issue with my Ignition Timing?

PTF indicated that my STFT was high and they believe there could be a boost leak. Does anyone here have any tips for troubleshooting a boost leak?

I found an o-ring on my old chargepipe. WHOOPS.

I put it on the new one and it seems to be a much tighter fit.

I did another pull and my STFT is even higher now…. 1.26 at it’s max I believe. This is what I was attempting to fix, and it got worse?!

Any input..? My timing seems better, but there is inconsistency on cyl 3.

Your latest log is good, I would consider swapping the ignition coils between #3 and #4 to see if the problem moves. That would tell you if it's the coil or not.

I'll do that tomorrow to see if it's a coil issue. Thanks for the tip.

The STFT is high on my last log. I'm still trying to figure that one out. The only connections between the bolt ons I installed that I haven't checked yet is the downpipe. Is that something that could even cause the STFT run all the way up to 1.2-1.3?

Possibly if there's an upstream exhaust leak the O2 sensors might not get the correct reading. It would be the turbo connection that would be the issue, or the O2 sensors aren't in tightly. I'd keep an eye on it if the downpipe clamps are tight and there's nothing else obvious.

Update

I essentially reinstalled my entire chargepipe, made sure the o-rings were good, and tightened the top of my downpipe.

My logs look way better:
http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5e6589dad10b43468a76cb69

I noticed the throttle angle dipped hard though while I had it at 100%. What's up with that?

STFT looks so much better, but I still see areas of 1.05+. Perhaps the downpipe needs tightened even more. I only got about 1 full turn on the bolt because it seemed really tight already.

EDIT: Looks as if the throttle angle dropping is because of a little bit of overboost.

I had the same issue with my car and I just got a boost leak test done and there weren't any leaks from the intake system what other possible things can it be. I'm running out of ideas
