That does look really nice. I'm either going with the Dinan springs this year or some coilovers.

Another question for you: do you have a product link to the spacers you used in the rears? I'm thinking of copying you with the dinan springs plus spacers. Let me know.

Got the car out of the garage a few days last week and was able to run it out the gas that was a couple months old. With a bunch of rain in MN early last week the roads were pretty clean with very little salt messiness.

Even with running MDH stage 1 91 octane map there is little to no traction in 1st thru 3rd gears, and 4th was a little sketchy at times. I think this is the torque settings by gear with the XHP. I turned the torque limits down and will see how it behaves. Maybe I should revert to stock settings with the tunes for the winter months...

I can't wait for the warm spring weather and getting the summer wheels/tires back on.

My Stage 2 M235 6MT behaves the same way on clean winter roads. I'm running 245/35R18 Michelin Pilot All Season 4 tires out back and from a stop or 2nd gear punch, traction isn't there if temps are below 50. 3rd can sometimes spin a bit too from a punch. Since I have a 6MT, my gearing is way longer than your 8ATs (2nd is good to 72mph and 3rd 108mph). I never bother going heavy throttle in temps below 30.

just done right front wheel bearing on my 2019 230i M sport

got the car last august done alot over the fall and winter all work was performed by me

M performance muffler
injen intake
ftp inlet and charge pipe
M2 carbon interior trim
xdelete
xhp trans tune
bootmod3
mg flasher
240i brake upgrade new rotors and used blue calipers
evolution raceworks catless downpipe
both front wheel bearings to cure humming noise

ran 13.2 before removing the cat and going to stage 2 only had intake, xhp, bootmod stage1 with some minor weight reduction, feel that mgflasher is faster than bootmod may have to go to track when it opens to test as i have both licenses

want to do lowering springs next may go with dinan's even though the car is xdrive i dont want a big drop

also have right rear brake light malfunction usually comes on when it rains goes away on its own might try to repair or replace the taillight

So you leave your tune settings on stage 2 year round? I have struggled with what to do with my car during the cold months. I suppose if you choose to not give it too much throttle the tune settings don't matter so much.

I don't know why but for some reason I am surprised by the lack of traction this winter. Must be the addition of the XHP tune and increase in torque.

I do leave it Stage 2, but I do sometimes worry that really cold, oxygen dense air could possibly create an over-boost issue if I went heavy throttle in a taller gear at a lower rpm. I tend not to usually do this regardless of air temp, but I'm more aware of it when it's cold because the engine feels more lively in cold air.

When temps are below 50 degrees, the only time I give full throttle from the start is in 3rd at around 65-70mph. In 2nd, I have to be rather careful when hitting it from 40mph (~4000rpms). 1st is worthless no matter what.

Put the stock exhaust back on. The muffler delete was fun while it lasted but it was way too loud for daily use.

Upshifting at WOT and decelerating were awesome though. Even with MHD burbles turned completely off, the burbles were still loud and clear but not obnoxious. Car was faster too albeit netting lower MPG.

I didn't do anything to it. But I did think about driving it again when the weather's nicer, so that's something. I think.

This is me everyday. I'm looking at mid to late April here to be able to feel good about putting the summer wheel set back on and having weather where the likelihood of snow is minimal. Hang in there.

Decided to make some camber plates, as all the ones on the market had a few limitations that I decided could be overcome to get the best range of movement using stock springs and dampers, but still get a full 30mm of camber change at the top bearing:

My car is not rwd but I just found the specs:

xdrive = 10% front / 15% rear
rwd = 10% front / 27% rear

It makes sense that the 230 would have a larger gap because the M2XX is already a bit stiffer (presumably). The 230i photo on their website looks very similar to my 1/2" lowering all around, I say go for it!

Unless you have timeslips to prove that it was faster, it's all psychological, probably lower mpg due to being driven harder to enjoy the sound.
