reset adaptations

Has anyone ever Reset adaptations in ISTA? I’ve done it on my E90 with positive results especially after doing maintenance like plugs and air filter.

It is neither scanning or coding, adaption is an engine parameter it learns as you drive and stored in the ecu

There's a way to reset throttle response adaptation using the accelerator - that's all I've ever done.

I've read somewhere on another thread that you should never reset transmission adaptations, because it compensates for wear on the internal brakes and clutches over time (on an auto obviously). I'd be wary of resetting engine adaptations like Valvetronic for exactly the same reason, though perhaps others with more knowledge can chime in on that. Things like the throttle, probably no big deal.
