Next mod? Need advice!

Hey all. So my current set up is a '18 m240i with agency power intake, Dinan midpipe, Dinan lowering springs, bm3 stage 1 93 octane. Running brand new continental extreme contact sports as well.

I'm on the fence between considering a downpipe for stage 2 OR an Dinan axle back for sound enjoyment.

Given it's an 18 I have some minor warranty concerns, but I'm already flashing the ECU with BM3 so it is what it is lol.

Should I go for a stage 2 or go for some more growl? What would your next step be?

ur already tuned so I think you know where you stand with warranty. Just go stage 2 with downpipe as itll give you an awesome sound.

If I go with a downpipe I'm probably going to stick with catted because I don't feel like dealing with emission inspections. You think it'll still be beneficial in sound compared the exhaust?

IMO, downpipe, the question then becomes which one since you mentioned inspection. Kittyless is out of the question with inspection. Next question, which cat/brand. Looks like Fabspeed is the one option for that purpose, I've wondered about trying the vrsf or wagner with a #2 02 sensor extension, would this conquer the code/readiness issue. I'm not sure I've read that someone tried that although i'm sure it must have been attempted. If someone out there has, let us know.

Thanks for the feedback. I keep reading good things about the CG and Fabspeed cats. Saw also that VRSF's catted downpipe is half the price but I've read about issues with not having proper bracket or clamps causing stress at the turbo inlet. I'm ok paying more for peace of mind!

pretty sure catted pipes will fail emissions eventually.

Well, can't disagree, that's the concern/question...

Is there a budget? If not, then M Performance limited-slip differential, hands down. That's also assuming you have a RWD car, of course. With the tune and extra power, it only makes sense to be able to put more of it down to the ground.

That's a great suggestion, but unfortunately I'm a little budget restricted. Probably around $1500 all in, including install costs.

I know the LSD is worth it's weight in gold, just not for this round. Will def be the next performance based modification for sure.
