2021 M240i CarPlay strange behavior?

Anyone seeing erratic behavior and graphics with CarPlay? My husband's '21 M240i CarPlay has started acting weird. We had it built and picked up end of November. It has NBTevo V20153I. This BMW's integration with CarPlay is pretty goofy and unpredictable anyway. (It doesn't work anything like my '21 X5) He has an iPhone 11 Pro w/latest software.

Hard to tell if it's an iPhone issue or a BMW glitch and I'm sure both companies will claim the problem is caused by the other company.

Does anyone know how to hard reboot (not reset) the iDrive for this version?
