Anyone tried the OBX full catback exhaust on M235i?

Saw this while looking at exhausts and it seems very cheap for what you're getting. OBX has been around for a while as a cheap exhaust manufacturer and I've seen some of their products and they looked pretty good to me. So has anyone tried this?

Been there done that.. In short, DON'T buy it. Clamps suck the downpipe did not line up got half off the entire thing when I argued about it all. Price reflects the quality, trust me....It's not worth the headaches you'll get trying to make it work.

*If you decide to get it anyway, be advised the rear section where the muffler inlet goes, is centered on this system. Reason I bring it up is the muffler on this system sucks, it's way quiet. So lets say you want to swap it out for a Dinan or AFE or AWE one, tough luck you're stuck as nothing bolts up to it because of this centered orientation. Most, if not all, aftermarket mufflers are oriented like the OEM system, toward the passenger side not centered. That's so you can bolt them on as axle-backs if desired.

If i had to do it over again, I would have gone with AFE Power 49-36347-B . Look it up it's currently around $1200 online for the catback, the entire thing minus downpipe. Cool bonus is the valve is functional and opens up to essentially a straight pipe. Anyway, your most cost-effective options will probably that or the AWE Tuning catbacks.

Thank you for the reply, exactly what I was hoping that somone had real experience with it. I am mostly looking for a bit more sound and was curious. Might just do the catless dp, should bring a bit more volume to the stock exhaust.

Back in the early 2000s OBX was considered junk, looks like things haven't changed.

Yup, the price really does say it all for that particular company.

I've had that kit for about a year and finally bit the bullet for a true upgrade.

Just placed my order for a complete Remus Catback system that will be going onto a catless dp.

Can't wait on the final results, heard nothing but good things about Remus so I'm excited.
