Exhaust question - will there be drone?

Will there be drone with a catless downpipe+resonator delete with stock muffler?

Yes.
Simplest answer is. Think of it like this.
resonator eliminates drone.
Muffler for volume and tone.

I have no drone with the muffler on, it actually doesn't sound all that different from stock.

I have a VRSF catless downpipe and the Dinan Resonator delete with the stock muffler on my m235i. I think it sounds great! I wouldn't say there was too much drone. Driving normally I sometimes notice some in the lower RPM's in low gears but its 100% bearable. And no drone at cruising speeds. Its not bad at all.

I also have a catless downpipe and a resonator with the stock muffler. The drone is very tolerable and I don't really notice it unless i listen for it.

Yes you will have drone, same with if you delete muffler. Try just going catless to see how you like that sound. There will mild drone going catless too.

I deleted both resonators on my M240i midpipe and there is zero drone whatsoever, as someone who is very, VERY sensitive to drone.

It does pop quite a bit in Sport mode. The amount of pops during deceleration wasn't expected.
