Illuminated Door Sills

I just installed these yesterday - got them from https://getbmwparts.com/ Install is fairly easy but the magnets were a bit frustrating to find the perfect place. It includes a wood wedge to remove the old ones and I think it's held in place by 5 clips and comes with extras if you break them changing the batteries in the future.

So the lighting is powered by batteries? I always thought these were hardwired.

That's right. I put a set in last Summer and that is how the button cell batteries are activated.
It's an easy installation with very good directions.
I bought them at GetBMW parts also.

The quality is good just like the OEM sills. The batteries are supposed to last 5+ years at least.

I actually just ordered a set of the M Performance ones a couple days ago. They should be in around Thursday. I'll post a few pics once I get them installed.

I have them on mine and I love them. If you are in hesitation go for it, they are totally worth it.

How easy is easy? Does it come with a tool to help remove the existing sill?
