Punctured Tyre
Hi guys,
Had the rear tyre punctured today on my M235 (3rd time in 2 years ). This time it wasn't a nail. It looks like a thin piece of metal approx. 1cm in length (see attached photo). The tyre is relatively new with plenty of tread on it. I was wondering if it is repairable? Or should I save the $100 call out fee and go for a new tyre? Thanks, Al |

get a new tire. in fact, its almost time for you to get new ones so replace both if thats the front. Use the other as a spare.

the puncture is too far into the shoulder for any kind of patch a tire manufacturer would say. I think the issue is at that far into the shoulder any puncture that goes through to the inner lining will have damage both the edge of the main belts and the edge radial plies and it's not worth taking a chance since that area of the tires is the most flexible most likely to be damaged by excess heat and most likely to delaminate from damage
