Changing over to winter tires a month later than usual. Finally prompted by a big storm headed to area.

I've had the floor jack and adapter for years. Together, they make the job go faster.

For the first time this year, I used a new M18 cordless impact wrench rather than a hand or compressed air impact wrench. This wrench allows for setting torque via phone. It worked great and made the job go faster than ever. Highly recommend this wrench.

I have about 20 m18/m12 tools including the half inch impact. They're great, no need for air anymore Take that torque setting with a grain of salt though, it's not very accurate. Precision instruments makes snap ons $400 torque wrench which is fantastic, and you can buy it direct from precision for significantly cheaper-

I bought the Precision Instruments M3R250F torque wrench I use from https://www.tooldiscounter.com/. They generally have excellent pricing.

For my M240i, though, I use BMW's 140nm torque wrench: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...06#71126769683. At $33 from ECS Tuning (https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/71126769683/), it was too good to pass up. Plus, it's easier to use.

Getting a trick driver like that and not using a torque wrench is like buying a high-tech German sports car and putting bargain-basement tires on it.
