is there a way to disable the alarm for no seat belt?

dumb question i know but i don't like driving with a seat belt on. they are just uncomfortable in general but i hate how it keeps locking on me when i drive aggressive and even if im just cruising i cant have my windows all the way down or else it will make a rapid flapping noise.

You can buy some Seat Belt Clips. The alarm stops after you plug it on.
For the sake of safty, please fasten your seatbelt. Lol

you can use Bimmercode to code out the noise, but in all seriousness wear your seatbelt!

The reason is locks up when you drive aggressive it to keep you from sliding in your seat. If you're driving aggressively, wouldn't you want to stay in your seat?

I've seen a rear passenger go through a windscreen after a really minor collision at just 50mph. Not even the driver's fault. This young guy was going to have to live with the injury for the rest of his life, as far as I could see - and I wasn't sure he was even alive. If it's a choice of irritating inconvenience vs tragic convenience, I'd go for the former every time.

You could do that via Bimmercode or other applications that are on the market. However for your safety always wear the seatbelt. It locks you in because otherwise, you risk of sliding from side to side while in a turn which itself can be dangerous for you as well as the traffic around you if you were to lose control of the vehicle. Not to mention that not wearing your seatbelt is against the law and an offense.

don't forget - the seatbelt is there to prevent the airbag from killing you...

He’s a grown ass man if he doesn’t want to wear a seat belt that’s his choice, plus good be from New Hampshire where it’s legal. But anyways like a few others said you can code it out with bimmercode.

What was the purpose of seatbelts before airbags?

Originally they were to prevent you from flying out of the car (lap).
Then they were improved to prevent you from hitting the dash (shoulder).

Now that dash hits you, from multiple different angles, if you aren't seated properly you will get hurt. The seatbelt works to limit where you can move so that when the dash explodes your body isn't in the wrong place.

None of this is a bad thing of course and is why people walk away from accidents.

My question was rhetorical. Belts are not just to keep the air bags from harming you, which is what was alleged.

I hate seat belts... But I wear em... I'm better than I used to be. I'd rather a 5pt harness truth be told. Just watch a few YouTube videos of bodies being ejected from vehicles in crashes! Yeah, seatbelted occupants as well...

Is one of those things - that you're better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!

I coded mine out with Bimmercode. I hated the audible ding on startup. I don't feel I need help reminding me that I don't want to die today.

Remember, seatbelts are like condoms. Nobody likes wearing them, but they prevent a lot of unwanted events.
