They do shovel well, but snow alone wouldn't break it.

Hard ice or a snow bank, sure it will snap it.

Or my personal winter demon - the concrete parking curb thing buried in snow that you can't see.

Is it possible to remove for winter and put back on in spring? Just to avoid some of this damage....I've got a m240i w the mp splitter being port installed, and I'm beginning to wonder if I just set myself up for a bunch of future purchases to replace the damn thing

It is possible, but the key is to be able to get off the tape residue on your lip.

Not to keep harping on the Lightweight lip but that is held on with just a dozen screws no tape or adhesive. 5 minute job to remove and reinstall.

Are most of you at stock ride height or lowered? I have the m-perf splitter and stock ride height and if I don’t go up my driveway at an angle I’ll get a minor scrape. Would like to lower 0.5” but not at the expense of several splitter replacements.

Do they all come with the branded logo on the lip like the website shows? For that price, I'm hard pressed to offer them additional advertising.

It's a decal you can peel it off. I did.

Was the first thing I asked them as I don't advertise! I will tell you the quality is excellent and the fit is better than OEM (I've seen both in person). Here's a pic, sorry it's black on black not the easiest to see but maybe helpful to you. I love the damn thing.

Looks good. It's more subtle than other options. I like that.

Alternate angle for you - if you zoom you can see the two bolts in the center section (by the IC) that replace the OEM bolts. Then the sides are self tapping screws. Don't even need to get the car up in the air if you don't mind getting down on the ground. 5-10 mins max.

I've had my eye on that front lip for so long! I recently had a new bumper put in and protected with PPF+ceramic, seeing as how the middle screws bolt up to factory holes do you think I could get by with 3M tape on the sides instead of the self tapping screws? Seems to be a lightweight lip, no pun intended

Kinda reluctant on drilling my new bumper... Thanks BEM!

I wouldn't especially if you have fresh paint. Takes that over a month to fully cure. You could end up causing more problems than you realize.

Also with screws only water won't get trapped.

Just broke my second lip. I originally had the mp front lip then switched to a carbon fiber one after it broke. Well today I ran over a tire on the freeway and the cf splitter cracked. I am now officially done with lips! This second one lasted me 2 months...

I don't know of any that will hold up to that treatment.
