Engine Power Reduction to Prevent Brake Disc Overheating (FLR)
?

Brake Fading Compensation (HPS)
C_Funktion_Fadingkompensation_aktiv_I
activ => nicht_activ

Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA)
?

Brake Standby (EVB)
C_Funktion_Bremsbereitschaft_aktiv_I
activ => nicht_activ

Maximum Brake Support (HVV)
?

Dynamic Performance Control (FDB)
C_Funktion_FDB_GMV_aktiv_I, already nicht_active (likely owing to the fact that I'm RWD?)

Electronic Differential (AX_Ref_Diff_Lock)
C_Funktion_Differenzialsperre_aktiv_l
activ => nicht_activ

I'd appreciate help filling in the blanks (where applicable) and correcting errors. Thanks for reading!

Anyone managed to find out about FLR and HBA?
Cheers

I looked into it last Spring before I did all the other ones... couldn't find anything. But I will say I'm liking the car more after the coding.

Hello Guys...

I believe that dealers do some coding when installing LSD on b58 cars... does anyone know exactly what they do to compare?

Hello,

Is it possible to code it to a shorter differential ratio?
anyone tried this?

You can't code a different mechanical gear ratio...

That's gotta be a troll post, or at least I hope it is. I mean, seriously?

What the hell do you mean with a trol post?

It's a serious question.
A customer fitted a shorter diferential (3.91 instead of 3.08) in his 228 i, and now he has 2 fault codes in the Transmission ecu (8 Auto), and the message of limited power,... under 50 kph no problem but when you go higher you get that.

In the engine ecu i allready replaced the diff ratio to this one but this didnt help, you have to be able to do that in the transmission ecu i think or change all 4 abs signals to the original one...

Then i found this coding topic, you never now if there was a possibility to really change these parameters, but normaly this is not a situation a dealer will ever have to do so i don't think it will be like the other coding options you have...

But it could be someone else ran in to the same problem and has a solutions ,...

Take it easy dude... Perhaps a little more context in your first post would have helped clarify. You're a first time poster to the forum with a vague question that at first made no sense...I thought my response actually was pretty measured and polite all things considered. And did I ever even say "troll post"? I was at least giving you the benefit of the doubt with a serious response...

I'm getting so tired of people who post obtuse questions looking for help, too lazy to write a coherent post, and then act rude when they don't get the solution they're looking for.

If you're going to ask a serious question, don't ask in a stupid way, then.

Seriously though, i have the "same"question. Except on an f30. I have the m performance automatic 335 lsd 3.15 gears. My car is a manual 335 with an open 3.23.

Physically, this will work, but electronically I'm on the fence. The only problem i can see is if the speed sensor on the trans directly interacts with a wheel speed sensor. It may sense two different speeds and error. Oor is it a small enough difference that the different modules compensate?

I.e if the trans is saying 20mph but your wheel speed senor isnt spinning fast enough(or to fast if you went with shorter gears) ... what happens and is this how the DSC even interacts with the rest of the car? And could there be coding to eliminate a potential issue with using a diff with taller gears in it?

Hi all I stumbled across this thread from a link in F30post. I have an F30 and installing the M-Performance LSD this week and would love to code out the e-diff however the link from the OP is no longer functional. Does anyone know if this can be accomplished via BimmerCode in Expert mode? Also would greatly appreciate any links to coding tutorials etc. Thank you!

I found a local guy with e-sys who coded this out for me. This cannot be done in BimmerCode. If you search on F30post there's a link to a virtual machine that has e-sys on it.

Greetings,

I realise this is an old thread but was looking for a solution to this problem I encountered as well. I have both complete front and rear axles from a F82 M4 fitted to my F21 M135i with a 3.46:1 final drive ratio as opposed to the original 3.08:1, and now have a drivetrain error when speeds exceed 50mph.

Any help on this will be appreciated.

Blessings

you will need to have someone change the diff ratio in your transmission for example I have a M4 DCT in my M235i using the stock 3.08 diff if i remember correctly, XHP in the DCT allowed me to change this, XHP does not have this function for the 8HP tranny though, did you install the complete rear end subframe? and did you install the GHAS unit or how do you plan on controlling the electronic M diff?

Anyone know what CMD stands for in the B58 F22 DSC module screenshot attached? There's actually a CMD1, 2, 3 and 4. Not certain what this function does.
