M2 exhaust Gurgle on an m235i!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOO!!
Sorry for the click bait tittle HAHAH
I am curious if anyone who codes has seen anything for this in the Entries. I know it is possible to remove the m235s exhaust popping as it is A computer added over run, then is the same possible to change it to m2 over run? The engine is the same for the most part and the exhaust has nothing to do with the rev limiter / over run. Just like people are adding GTS Burble tunes to m3/m4 Is it possible to give A m235i the same snapping sound the m2 makes when coming off the throttle at high RPM or shifting hard high in the rev range? I am going to talk to the guy who coded for me before and I will try to get this to work But in the mean time has anything ever through of this? or am I the only one Video reference , not so noticeable here but you can see what I mean its much louder and noticeable when driving |

^ This! Engine parameters aren't part of feature or vehicle option coding. Just like the MPPK flash tune creates more burble over the stock tune, it requires changes to the engine control parameters/maps, which are vastly more complex than turning a feature on or off. Not sure if even a piggyback tune could do this.

The M2 exhaust is much freer flowing than the stock M235. The m performance exhaust or another aftermarket may be what you want on the M235i. Here's a video with what mine sounds like driving around ...

Its In the programming where the difference between the cars lies since the M2 and M235i are working with pretty much all the same hardware but make different sounds , I am more familiar with coding so I was hoping that would be the answer, but it more likely to be something that would need to be flashed |

Wouldn't it be possible to reflash the DME with M2 software using winkfp? I know we used to do this a few years back to put Alpina DME software into the 335's and euro SMG software into the M5.

Also if it were the same it's not possible to reflash a DME without physically unlocking it since the DME will be locked and you won't be able to re-code it with a different power variant. F-Series cars don't use WinKFP either. |

With the tuning files from proTUNINGfreak's Bootmod3 you have exhaust valve and overrun (burble) control. Upon request proTUNINGfreaks will add in no over run, varying over run depending on comfort sport or sport+ setting (like stock only louder and longer) or obnoxiously insane amounts of over run. Of course changing the exhaust system will make it even harsher, louder, and more obnoxious!

So this car had the MPE, Dinan carbon fiber intake (with the MPPK lower airbox ... this is why you can hear the turbo) and Dinan stage 2 tune so that might have accounted for a bit of the noise.
