What color did you go with?
Are you still happy with your color choice? I went with the black sapphire metallic over coral red and couldn't be happier! ... until it gets dirty

Hard to get grumpy with EB.

I wanted the AW because it's easier to keep it looking clean. I like looking at the EB better, so it's all turned out satisfactorily. I gave up on blacks back in the 80s. That was in California, where at the time it still rained in the winter. You'd think the rest of the year would've been great for keeping a black car clean, but San Francisco fog turned my just-detailed black BMWs into opaque messes. I finally had to give up on black.

Another Seaside Blue owner, here. Absolutely love it... It changes color, depending on the light. It receives so many compliments.

Currently on Mineral Grey, which I've enjoyed, though now sometimes I swear it has a greenish hue to it. Probably needs to be washed :/
Trading it in shortly for Estoril Blue. Somewhat concerned that it's a shade too light, but having seen others is a few other lighting conditions I'm optimistic it will be great. |

AW because I wanted a m performance m235i as stipulated by BMW down to the tee. But I decided not to go with the weirdly painted rear diffuser and left it black instead.
Also contours and contrast of colours stand out the most on AW imo. Especially the blue in the callipers/badge and carbon fibre blacks. I don't really agree it's any easier to keep clean though... That said I've absolutely fell in love with the modern shades of grey popular in euro spec. Eg. Nardo or fashion grey. If I still own the car in 3 years, I might get a wrap done Last edited by Avex; 01-08-2019 at 10:28 PM.. |

Sunset orange! Chose the m240 over m2 partially because of that color (except now the M2C has it... )
Surprisingly easy to keep looking clean, it's a beautiful color with so much depth depending on lighting! Just dark enough to create some weight and not look too flashy imo. And I haven't seen one around where I live in the same color.

Still completely happy with Valencia Orange...love the way the sun hits/bounces and it really pops against the sea of black/grey/silver/white cars of all brands that surround in traffic.

I originally wanted Estroil Blue, but ended up getting Alphine White since that was the only one in my area with all the options I wanted. Grown to love the color, especially with CF on it!

Not all colors are listed on the poll, since they have changed over the years.
EB soldiers on, though, and is far ahead at this point, though the numbers are still very small. I bought only red cars for many years, the best color being the Japan Red on my E 46 325, but BMW reds lost their charm and when I saw Estoril Blue I was smitten. That was almost four years ago and the color still gets lots of thumbs up from the crowd. |

I have AW over Dakota Black, but it wasn't really a "choice". I purchased my M235i off the showroom floor "as is" with a few extra MP goodies after getting a terrific deal on it. I have always like lighter colors and I am very happy with AW. My previous car was a MINI Cooper S Hardtop which I ordered in Pepper White over Green Lounge Leather and I always loved combo. In general, I am less than excited about the color palate available and it's not just a BMW issue. If you drive onto any BMW, Audi or MB lot generally all you see is white, black and several shades of gray or silver with an occasional red or blue. I tend to prefer non-metallic colors over metallics or pearls. I'd love to see some yellows or greens available, along with a true "red" red. Back in high school I had a Yellow Honda Civic which I really enjoyed and I am looking forward to completing my 912 restoration and returning it to it's original classic Porsche color of Irish Green over tan leather with black and tan Pepita seat inserts.

The car we bought was on the showroom floor in Melbourne red, and although we would have preferred a darker blue color (not available on M-Sport), we still love it after nearly 3 years.

I had mineral grey on my 235 and went with mineral white on my 240. I'm liking the white a lot more. I feel it stands out more without being too flashy, even with the black grille/wheels and CF mirrors/spoiler.

I decided to go with Alpine White for the racing heritage of the color. Planning to get sidesill blades and m-tricolor pinstripes this spring to finish out the motorsport look the blackout grills and carbon rear lip have started.
I decided against Seaside Blue or Sunset Red Metallic because I hadn’t seen either in person. I do think Seaside blue would have been stellar...but I’m still happy with Alpine White. If I’m really being honest though, the fact that the 2er doesn’t offer individual paint is the real shame. I would have shelled out for Limerock Fire Orange, Laguna Seca Blue, or Mantis Verde in a heartbeat. |

I thought long and hard about the color of my M235 prior to ordering. When it comes to extenuating the body lines of the 2 series, color is absolutely key thus I went with Mineral White. It really pops and shadows the body lines in all lighting conditions except direct sunlight which makes the color look like a flatter Alpine White. It also makes the car look higher end. Some of the other colors can make the 2 series look quite plain and hides the character of the car.
I also love the fact that MW looks clean even when it's filthy. And the contrast with a few well chosen gloss black and CF parts looks sporting and classy.
