Yea it’s something with the flash. The shadow codes are showing with a scan tool which means that Bmw is going to turn their back on you for warranty work and the service center will offer you a factory flash that will cost you and arm and a leg, plus say goodbye to your warranty.

My only suggestion would be to attempt to reflash the DME again if you can (did you do OBDII flash?) or send it back to MHD.

flash it back bro. you need to eliminate all issues.

#1 - flash back to stock

#2 - rescan car for codes (using ISTA)
#3 - check charge pipe, intake pipe, intake filter
#4 - Change MAP sensor (the one on charge pipe)

Got a update from bmw the car is back now the said one test has failed - charge pressure control tester failed. Which could mean a issue with the air circulation

Does anyone know of this issue!?

Sounds like there's a boost leak somewhere.

How long did you have all the mods before the problem showed up?

Were you messing with modifications or something under the hood shortly before the issue popped up?

Next time you get superknock codes, the LAST thing you should be doing is driving the car hard as superknock is deadly to pistons, rods, and rod bearings. Unless you have a desire to pluck down $15K USD+ on a replacement short block, I recommend not driving at all until you can get the issue sorted.

Lastly, if you do not pocess the mechanical skills to install mods and do under the hood troubleshooting, I wouldn't recommend modding a car like you've done unless you want to be paying big money to have techs troubleshoot issues most likely brought on by aftermarket parts.

Not trying to preach..

The car was modified from a professional company and I worked for bmw headoffice so I do posses some technical skills. I'm just curious about this air recirculation issue and if anyone else experienced it.

Bmw confirmed the map is not the issue as they have wiped the ecu and done a full software update so everything is stock, they have said there is a issue around the turbo and sucking not enough air in.

fair enough....have u tried an independent shop that specializes in building cars? Their mechanics are often way better than the stealers who mostly only know how to read codes and replace what the computer tells them.

Help before I sell my car. LMAO so dramatic. Dude your mods are the problem, duh! Modding always carries risk to screw up your ride. Take it to your independent shop or tuner and have them figure out where it all went wrong.
