Upgrade stock Speakers

I just upgraded the stock speakers in the door and rear deck. I put in Focal ISC 100 speakers. The only thing the installer had to do is build a spacer kit for the doors since the Focal's are more than twice as deep as the stock speaker.

Wow, what a difference. It sounds muck livelier and fuller than the HK system and now has excellent base. I couldn't be happier.

And it costs much less than the HK upgrade.

Nice. But your lack of unique thread title skills is a bit confusing...

I agree but I couldn't change the title with the edit. I saw the problem right after I posted it.

Are the rear deck speakers the same size as the ones in the doors ?

Just curious...

I am also wondering how to increase the overall volume output of the stock system - I am sure that it's not as loud as the E82 stock system.

Yes the rear deck speakers are 4 inch speakers also.

To increase the overall volume you would need to buy a new amp. But I have tons of volume.

Thanks for the confirmation - that makes the replacement - just get 4 of the kinds you like.

Any idea how much power the stock system is running ?

And what do you mean by spacer kit ? Just want to make sure I understand you correctly ?

Thanks for the help too.

I don't know what the output of the stock amp is. Maybe someone else does.

The spacers are needed to bring the speaker out so they don't hit the window when it is down. There is plenty of room under the stock door screen so that they don't stick out.

By the way, the Focal's include a tweeter with each speaker. So I now have 12 speakers like the HK system.

Makes sense what did he make it out of ? And how did he secure it ?

He used metal and just used longer screws to secure it.

Where are the speakers located? I know so far doors (x4), rear deck (x4), under seats (x2)... where are the other two speakers?

Nevermind....dash speaker. That is also 4" I take it?
