that looks very cool and sleek, and would love to learn more.

but i'm concerned by a few things:
1. its use of a battery vs capacitor: although i see it has a cigarette-power socket cable, other posts have decried battery-based camera options for use in hot weather/high temps.
2. it seems to be marketed toward the action cam crowd: can this camera be set to automatically start recording when powered on? otherwise, if one has to constantly fiddle with controls etc, might as well use that GoPro that i'm sure many, including myself, already have.
3. i personally am a bit concerned by the speed/rpm overlay/logging. this information could potentially be damning. the information is likely received via the OBD adapter; will this work without being connected or paired to one?

So today after work this happened:

Caught by my dashcam. Resolution only looks low because of the Youtube encoding. Cheesy music is to cover my startled reactions, which weren't kid friendly.

Whoa! How badly hurt were the people in the cars?

Any update? I was considering this cam as well and was wondering how it does.

Is the front and rear able to do night vision? or does it need light to see?

So far I love it.

Front definitely does the night vision and rear I haven't had much of an opportunity to test. I have 20% tint on my rear window so it's certainly darker than the front.

Overall the camera is super nice, amazing quality, and tons of features. It's also pretty compact so it's discreet and out of the way. You won't be disappointed with it.

Don't know yet. One got out of the car on his own power. The other was still in the car when I left. I gave the cops my card and told them I had the video, so perhaps I'll hear from them today.

I just run my power cord down the left side of the car to the backseat and plug it into the rear cig lighter. Then you dont have to worry about cutting wires.
