Fitment question... any reason I would run into any issues?

Hey all,

I'll try to keep this easy. I have the chance to buy a set of my absolute favorite wheels for relatively cheap on Facebook Marketplace.

I have a 2015 M235i xDrive on the stock suspension (for now). The wheels are a staggered set of BBS RG-R's in 18x8 et35 and 18x8.5 et38. Front and rear tires are 235/40/18 MPSS's.

Usually, I wouldn't buy wheels before I did some suspension work but they popped up within an hour of my house and the owner is trying to sell them for $1,000. It seemed too good to be true at first, but after speaking to them and getting some additional pictures it sounds like the current owner decided to get different wheels for his E46 M3.

From what I understand, he purchased them from the original owner who had the wheels on an RWD M235i. This is my first BMW and I get confused with the differences sometimes on the RWD and xDrive cars. Is there any reason these wheels WOULDN'T work on my car?

Thanks for any advice!

Those will fit on your car just fine as long as you keep the 235/40/18 on all four corners. You'll need to keep the overall diameters at +/-1% for your xDrive system. You could also consider running 225/40/18 front and 245-255/35/18 rear.

+1 on the 225/40 up front. I'm on 18x8 ET40 squared and running 225/40/18 and 245/35/18 rear and I sit almost flush. I would think 18x8 ET35 on 235's might slightly poke in the front so I'd personally go 225. Rear at 255 might sit flush or might poke 2mm or so because I'm pretty close to flush on the rear with 245 on 18x8 +40. You should play it safe and go 225 and 245 as VMR said.
