Seen BMW of Arlington advertising a $39 oil change recently. Seems like a good deal.

If you feel like overpaying for oil changes, but not at the dealer, there are bunch of shops around. I think they start at like $80 for regular oil, so I personally can't recommend any shop (that, and I don't have substantive firsthand experience with most of them).

However, if you must have a list to go off of, in no specific order: K3S Motorsports, EurAuto Shop, JP Euro, Clown Shoe Motorsports, Eurosport Automotive, etc
cant really DIY at my apt

will probably check out autoscope at white rock lake, seems to be the closest to me. everything else is so far.

Just finished breaking in my 6mt 2018 sunset orange m240i with MP rear diffuser and MPE! Went to twisted sisters and Austin this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed this car.

I see a couple m235s in uptown area, indeed not as common as it ought to be.

I've been wondering about them, too. What made you decide on this shop vs others? What tuning solution are you going with?

his prices are pretty reasonable and he seems to know what he's doing, I was going to take it to JP Euro but I liked talking to him and he took the time to go into real detail even before I took my car in (other shops didnt even reply to my emails lol)
OBD flashing is the new craze so no need for bench flashes. Should be coming soon to B58s, too.

What's the timeline for your build? Should be when done.

I live out in E Texas but I do come into DFW frequently for track events and to have work performed on my car. (Also occasional shopping and Costco run)

Texas Track Works in FT Worth is the best shop hands down if you to get real performance out of the car. I make the 3.5 hr drive just to have them work on my car. The best part is that they are fast. They build race cars and support race teams so they are used to replacing suspension and drive train components on the fly. That being said, they installed my LSD, Ohlin Coilovers, and Camber plates while I waited.

Any recommendations in the DFW area for a charge pipe and intercooler install? I don't have garage space to do it, nor the torx bits. I've called around to a few shops and some want an arm and both legs.

That's pretty typical locally. They were quoting me $450-$700 for a spring install, too. I don't really like paying people to do simple jobs so ended up doing everything myself. As long as you don't have any fitment issues (I did), both IC and CP installs are fairly straightforward, albeit a tad time-consuming.

If you don't have a garage, you can go to a garage where you can DIY with rented tools. There's one in Plano called Jack Junkies:

Texas Track Works knows these cars very well and can do it at a very reasonable price.

Was working on my car today trying to get the dinan springs on the front. I got stuck trying to remove the end link from the strut.
I used a t30 torx and 5/8” socket and was able to remove the nut. However the end link didn’t want to swivel out from the strut. I tried using a hydraulic jack to relieve pressure from the bottom, but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Anyone have a good recommendation for where to get my front bumper resprayed (estoril blue)? How much should I expect to pay for a front bumper respray?

Not sure if you found your answer. Can't say in terms of prices, but Classic BMW in Plano has pretty rich history. They are one of the few family owned dealerships around and know what they're doing. They host the monthly DFW cars and coffee and has a garage full of their own BMW race cars.

Beautiful Texas winter recently, I'm itching to go into the wine country! Anyone know of a group drive?

Classic no longer hosts C&C and Dec 2018 was their last. Classic as a dealership is ok, but nothing too special.

I might be down for a group drive, if you want to set something up.

Later this month, the Lone Star Chapter of BMWCCA is holding an event (awards banquet for 2018 AX but they're also doing dyno sessions) at Auto Scope. I don't know too much about it, though.

Yeah, heard about the C&C site change earlier yesterday. Gas monkey is the potential new site?

Any recommended roads around? Twisted sisters is always bit of a commitment driving from Dallas.

Will probably go to a couple of their AX this year then!

I don't think anything's been set as far as new location for C&C to continue. However, there are other similar car shows you can still attend (ex. Cars and Cannoli in Addison).

No idea on roads around here. About a decade ago when I led some cruises, I used the country roads north and east of McKinney, but haven't really done a cruise in so long. I've also never been to Twisted Sisters.

Check out www.dfwautocross.com for local ax clubs' calendars, if you're interested in attending!
