Mission Performance Trans Tune

Is anyone running this yet? What is the flash process like, not familiar with mission performance but have been hearing good things. Any review / feedback is greatly appreciated.

I just got MP Stage 2 and trans flash. I did away with my Dinan Stage 1... big difference! Love it!

My M240Xi still identifies as a male, so I'm not familiar with this trans tune. 🤔



Seriously though. What are the benefits over the Dinan Stage 1, with the Mission Performance tunes? I'm just hearing about this stuff now. Haven't been on the forums much recently. I have the Dinan Stage 1 V1, and I love it. But, if there's something better out there with reliability, I'm all ears.

I really liked my Dinan Stage 1, but switched to JB4 for the flexibility. I was reading a lot about flash tunes and wanted to wait until Dinan came out with theirs (Stage 2) but they told me about the beginning of 2020.
MP Stage 2 gives more power, deleted my cold start, and deleted my top speed limiter (which was 130mph).
The trans flash sharpened my shifts and was beneficial for the additional power.

I took my laptop to the track and , ran Stage 1 a couple of times and then switched it to Stage 2 and didn't run any faster, BUT it wasn't enough times to get a true reading. I can tell the shift is harder in Stage 2.
Maybe it's me and I just expected it to make a bigger difference.
The reason I say that is when I switched to the MP tune I couldn't tell if it was more powerful, than the Dinan, but my girlfriend could. Turns out it was 30 whp more lol.
I'd get it again because every bit helps. Especially since the price dropped from $500 to like $250.

Check out the xHP trans flash. I just read up on it and it's way more versatile than the MP!
You can change shift points, torque reduction and other things!

I just happened to read it and then looked at a YouTube video. I probably will check it out but it won't be for at least a month.

Well, its been over a month now......
I changed mine to Stage 2 and it shifts pretty hard now. I would like to be able to change the shift points, but I think I'll stay with MP.
I started to do the JB4 and BEF and then do the xHP, but I had issues installing, got frustrated and kept my MP.

MP is with a laptop and their flashing software. When I open the software I can click DME or TRANS button and then flash whichever I want.

I have a tune on the car now so if I select trans, it will only do trans and not effect the tune(DME)? What is that?

Thank goodness for the Dinan V2 tune for 230i's. Everything you want in a tune that delivers very smooth engine and tranny operation. A stage 1 tune that bumps the HP to a little over 300 bhp. Still, I live in CA and am very limited to what I can do to pass smog, etc. Just another reason to consider moving... and admittedly we aren't talking about a M240i.
