HK system improvement question

Guy's, wanna ask, as this is a coding issue which I'm not sure to do.

We all know the issues with the HK,

My first upgrade was removing the centre speaker in the dash and that I found improved the soundstage and also the bass response (to my ears anyway)

As a percentage, I feel a solid 20% improvement.

I came across another point which said that the sound is also muddied somewhat by the fake engine noise that the ASD puts through the speakers.

NOW, fake or not fake, I LOVE THAT SOUND, (to each his own) I love it.
BUT is it really a detriment to my sound quality and I MEAN NOTICEABLY.

I can code it out via Bimmercode but my questions is this

1> How much of an improvment can I expect and would it be totally noticeable ?

2> Am I going to loose (by a lot) the lovely piped in engine noise, bear in mind I drive a vert, so with windows and top down?

I guess I can always reverse code the engine sound

Any thoughts, especially from anyone whoes done this mod

Coding it out still leaves it in place and many note a hiss or similar that still comes through, using a full delete harness will improve the overall quality. Enough to warrant spending money to do it if you enjoy the ASD, probably not.

I've coded it out. Don't notice any hiss and don't miss it. I have the PE so I can still hear the actual exhaust sound when the music is not playing.

As you mention, you can always put it back if you miss it. Note it is not an on/off toggle though, if you code it out you have to do a restore to put it back.

Yes, it is no longer adding extra noise to the music.
