228i Sportline Mirror Caps
Aloha all,
Does anybody know if these black mirror caps are available through a dealership or if they are painted on the production line? I haven't been able to track a part number down on RealOEM. I want to swap my M235i silver caps out when the car arrives. Thanks! |

You could also to a DIY vinyl rap on the covers.

I like the silver colour. Goes good with my Melbourne Red rocket!

BMW is charging 500 dollars for carbon fiber MIRROR CAPS. really? when IND is selling a non-CF set for 165 clams? this behavior is enabled when people actually buy this crap. i think even 165 bucks is a bit much for what is an entirely cosmetic modification, still much more reasonable than 500.
the CF is just cool factor and bragging rights right? it's not like the non-CF caps weigh 80 pounds each. |

Carbon fiber is expensive. So are OEM BMW parts. IND uses OEM parts and paints them at a decent price. So you're paying slightly more than buying a set of mirror caps from your dealer. I had a guy quote me on painting the stock caps and he said $150.
Vinyl is probably the way to go if you just want to keep costs down.
