Interior/Exterior mainly looking at side-mirrors/spoiler/diffuser/front lip

I love this thing. This is the same type of cell mag mount I use in all of my vehicles. fits perfectly. Attached via 4 horizontal set screws on the sides, very stable. My center disc has M stripes.

My rear spoiler from another thread came from eBay and I've a front one to fit.

I've also got some chrome trim pieces from there and I've no issues. Here in the UK Aliexpress is cheaper than eBay.

Do some searches and check out the specific thread for interior mods - I've seen some concerns about the CF pieces delaminating, other quality/fit issues (as you'd expect - it is so hard to find good slave-wage laborers to knock off parts these days...).

Do you plug in your charger as well when your phone is docked? I have a manual transmission and I'm worried the charging cable will dangle around the shifter

I haven't yet. Just got the car a few weeks ago. 2015 M235i Vert with an auto. Just beginning to get it sorted out to my tastes.

Working on the easy cheap mods:

3D printed custom adjustable front plate holder that mounts under the grill opening so no drilling the front of the bumper.

Didn't come with a backup cam, so I added a direct wire one off Amazon. Will do like I did in my E30 and also wire in a switch with a cam under the front license plate to see how close I am to the curb. Temp mounted he small monitor on a 3D printed cup holder mount, pass side. (Eventually, will get Android Auto/CarPlay integrated box, as per other threads.)

(Did 2015 only come with backup cam for the parking package? I have heated leather, nav, comfort, HK, etc. but no backup cam.)

Added the M badges to the front fenders like OCONUS cars.

Ordered mud flaps from a 1 series like another post, but not yet received or installed.

A few other small projects in the queue.

I don't plan on performance mods for quite a while. Still basking in the upgrade from the E30 vert. Plenty of power to get used to.

Why would I pay $500 for CF covers on a $40,000 car for no real difference aside from weight and maybe 5% better finish.

That's very classy. I thought about something like that, but I wanted a solution that charges the phone without any visible wires dangling around (I know, I'm obsessive about it), so I went with a wireless charging mount instead attached to the windshield up at the top, next to the rearview mirror.

I also opted for just gloss black mirror covers non CF, $45. Same goes for the front lip, it is a piece of plastic that will get destroyed in any case. If you got money to burn left and right that's fine.

But as far as interior trim pieces, and functioning parts, I would never go Chinese.

There are literally no flaws in the carbon fiber covers so for $50 I'll take it!

Regarding the interior pieces, I couldn't agree more. I enjoy my red seats silver hexagonal trim anyways xD

The usual problem I have seen with the cheaper mirror covers is that they glue they used comes apart after a year or two, it starts to peel. Usually good practice is to get them coated again.

I opted just for the gloss black ones, not much to fade there.

Real carbon fiber from China is actually really good quality, considering the price. Since trim pieces made from carbon fibre serve no purpose whatsoever except to look cool, I think it’s a waste of money to buy anything expensive. If it’s a Ferrari, then I guess. If it’s a BMW hell no. Anyway people shit on fake exhaust surrounds, but expensive carbon fibre is ok?
