Weird Steering loose on center

I drove 300 miles recently and I noticed my steering felt really odd. It seemed loose on center and a bit notchy. I took it in to the shop and they couldn't find anything wrong. Anybody have any thoughts?

Thanks

Oh, for additional info, it's a 17 m240i, with 38000 miles. I've owned it since New so I know it's not how it's always felt

Feels lose & notchy in both COMFORT and SPORT mode ?

Any time I have a tire / alignment issue like your check and correct all 4 tire air pressure when cold.

If u can switch tires front to back and sense if issue changes.

Yeah in both, feels really odd. It's also really easily getting thrown off track. Like if I drive over a lane line, it wants to throw my car to the left. Tires and pressures are all fine, but I guess I could try.

Might be a misaligned belt inside a tire so if you switch the wheels around and feel it the sensation changes.

Also worthwhile to check alignment. Mine comes out of spec regularly so I get it done at least yearly; not having huge impacts, just routine crappy roads.

Dont spend ~600$ for stock.... Look at my post here, 400$ from the OEM BMW manufacturer and its M4 arms and tension struts which will add increased cornering and braking control, more camber (over 1 degree), and a more stable ride. Could solve this issue and track times will improve undoubtedly.
