2017 m240i, brake fluid light

Had a warning light this morning. Added a little amount to bring it to the fill line, still have a warning light. Will it go off after driving, is there a reset button? 11,000 miles, drives fine.
Thanks!

I would just take it to the dealer. It should still be under warranty so why take the risk?

Could be going off based on time, used to be 2 years but the free ones are now 3 years. You can reset the time.

As others have said, it is likely the time based reminder to do a brake fluid flush. Mine came on on 9/2, right on my M240's 3rd birthday!

I dont believe he is talking about the brake fluid flush reminder. He seems to be talking about a low level warning.

He just said he had a warning light so I guess we don’t know what light, I've never heard of a low level warning light for brake fluid on a BMW but maybe? We have plenty of warnings for time service on brakes and oil so were all guessing.

I thought all cars had brake fluid level sensor.
I need to look at the reservoir to see if there is an electrical switch.

Between several Honda's and a Toyota, not one of them had a brake fluid level sensor, only a low pressure warning.

After searching through the owners manual for both a 2017 and a 2020 2-series, I see no indication that there is either a low level or low pressure warning in our cars. (The lack of low pressure warning is surprising.)

I also see no indication of any sensors which are tied to the reservoir: https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...ir-34337851569

It is part number 34336796853, but is included as part of the master cylinder reservoir on the M240i, part number 7 on this diagram:
