First Clear Look at Interior of BMW 2 Series (F22) - M235i Coupe
BIMMERPOST NEWS First Clear Look at Interior of BMW 2 Series (F22) - M235i Coupe We give you the first clear look at the interior of the F22 BMW 2 Series (M235i) coupe. As the 2 Series lineup is based off the current F20/F21 1 Series hatchbacks, it comes as no surprise that the interiors are nearly identical. Interior As this is the M235i, we see all the M Sport bits fitted from the M135i hatchback, including alcantara sports seats (with hexagonal pattern and blue contrast stitching), aluminum dash trim and door handles with hexagon texture, and estoril blue accent strips on the dash. The door panel shares the same hexagon pattern as the seats. Also seen is the 6 speed manual transmission. But, the M235i does feature something the M135i does not - the M Sport steering wheel from the F30 3 Series M Sport package. It also features the new iDrive Touch system [intro video below]. Exterior The color of the M235i mule seen here is Estoril Blue II and the car has all the hallmark features of an M Performance Automobile - it shares its wheels, M Sport brakes, and double black exhaust pipes from the M135i. A trunk spoiler lip can also be seen clearly, but the rear bumper design is still obscured with very heavy cladding (you can see the raised camouflage panels in the closeup images). Production/Schedule Production of the M235i coupe begins this November 2013 in the Leipzig plant, for an 8 month first-model-year production run (until June 2014). There will be no 235i model in the US or elsewhere, as the M235i will take its place in the lineup. The M235i will feature the same powerplant and mechanicals as the highly touted M135i hatchback [reviews] The M235i will be joined by the 228i coupe in the US. The 228i coupe will also begin production this November. The production 2 Series will be revealed in the Fall, with its public debut potentially coming at the 2013 Frankfurt auto show in September). Europe will see additional models, including a 220i, 225i, 218d, 220d and 225d. Some recent spy photos and videos of the M235i and 228i coupe: Video introducing iDrive Touch system: |

The roof line is better than the 1.

So, if you're curious about what that pictured F22 interior is going to feel like, sit in an F30 M-Sport (or F32 when they come out) and imagine less legroom in the rear.

Daddy likes!
Any guesses on whether the June 2014 production will get a power bump like the 435i?

That profile looks so spot on. I've always kind of been interested in the 2er, but these new shots actually made me go wow. Excited for the M235i and M2.

Ok makes sense. The migration in size continues. Current 5 is size of old 7. Current 3 is the size of old 5. 2 is the size of old 3. 1 stays the same. 5 coupe is 6 and 3 coupe is 4. Following the Audi foot steps? Doesn't matter, car looks good.
