Previous owners replaced door and paint doesn't match...

So it seems the previous owners at some point replaced or repaired the door and didn’t correctly match/blend it correctly, this is been bothering the hell out of me I’ve talked to about 2 shops and they both mentioned basically painting the entire side of the car to get a perfect match, I honestly wish it was just blended a bit better what do you guys think?

Re-painting the door & blending into the adjacent panels is how it's done here on the east coast.

Well you guys are 1up on us on the west coast cause it seems that every shop I get in touch with only recommends painting the entire side of the car
