I think Dinan charges 1000 to transfer this to you a different car. so in this case its better to just buy from Dinan.

Lol I thought the same thing, I actually called Dinan, its 1250 to register to a new vehicle. They also told me a software update could be necessary. Its why I never even contacted seller.

Thats a $524 save from "buying new" with the transfer cost from Dinan.

It's a fair deal, take it.

Still not a fair deal, because that $524 savings doesn't come with the warranty Dinan gives with a new purchase. The warranty isn't transferrable...

Hi. Lots of mixed answers on used Dinan tunes. Can the new owner just plug and play or does Dinan have to do something with the unit? If one doesnt care about the warranty does anything need to be done or is it simply just installing it?

I believe his unit is pretty new, So most likely doesnt need a firmware update. Its just plug and play. No warranty necessary.
