Largest square tire set-up... 245 or 255???

So, I very much believe the handling of the m235 will improve greatly with a square set-up... seeing as the front seems to be the limiting factor for tire size, I'm wondering what is the widest 18 inch tire people have successfully installed, with a bit of camber (say 2 to 2.5)?

I'd love to run 18x9's with a 255...

Thanks,
Patrick

I run 255/40/17 square at the track. However I am running these on 17x8 40 offset which is not optimal... I run 3.5 negative camber at the front with 12mm spacers and 2 negative at the rear with no spacer. Clearance fender side is very tight front and rear with some contact at the front if I fuck up and go over a curb with lock.

Running 9" wide on the front will be difficult as my street wheels 18x8.5 45 front offset required a 3mm spacers to clear strut side. So with 9" on the front you would need to get 35 offset which would definitely give you fender clearance issues front and rear with 255's

I think 18x8.5 40 offset with 5mm spacers at the front would be the ticket. You will definitely need camber plates at the front though to run 255's
