f23 Coding Mirrors+Windows+Rag Top from FOB&CA Success!
I saw a number of older posts with members having difficulty coding their 2er convertibles to fold mirrors but losing rag top functionality on production builds after 07/14.
I have successfully coded the following: 2018 LCI f23 m240i convertible -open/close mirrors from FOB -open/close mirrors from comfort access door handles -open/close windows from FOB -open/close convertible top from FOB -open/close convertible top from inside car button -close windows from comfort access door handles -close convertible top from comfort access door handles FH_CABRIO_VERDECK_MODUL > AKTIV KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB > AKTIV KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB > NICHT_AKTIV KOMFORTOEFFNUNG > AKTIV KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG > AKTIV KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA > AKTIV KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN > WERTE = 00 (mirror delay to near instant close) ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN > AKTIV ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN > AKTIV Hope this helps! ps. One thing I find odd is when I open the rag top from FOB the doors can be open and the engine doesn't need to be on, but the rag top button inside the car requires doors shut and engine on--wonder if this can be coded? I did not notice this behaviour when I coded folding mirrors in my F30 3-series sedan. |

Hi,
Sorry to revive an old thread, but would this work in similar models? Got a 2016 220i f23 Convertible and was hoping to enable fob control for windows and roof and this is the only post even close! |

Yes, the coding should work for all F23's newer than MY'14. There weren't major changes that I know of. I've since gone from ESys coding to using Bimmer Code. MUCH easier, even in expert mode.

Yes buy a Smarttop module and you can do it all from quite a distance from the car. It also eliminates some of the safety nannies so you don't need to hold the fob or switch to operate the top. It gives you a ones shot windows up after you shut the car off to raise the windows.

It was only $369 when I bought it in 21. I think it was worth it for me, get up to leave the restaurant and by the time I get to my car the top is down ready to drive. In the gym working out and it starts raining, three presses of the lock button and the top goes up.

It's almost 500 now a days, it's a neat device don't get me wrong, and if I didn't work at home I'd probably consider it more, but at that price point I'll either live with it, or make my own, I do like to tinker lol
