Guys,
I'm looking for some advice on which kit to get for my application (2019 240ix):
1. Pump gas 92. This is a must. No meth.
2. Prefer fast spool (so nothing too big)
3. 500 whp
4. Prefer to use stock dp to pass emissions
5. Is the car drivable from shop back home without a custom tune?

Please attached product links if possible.
I've done a lot of research but websites lack good information. Sometimes I don't even know they are selling a turbo kit or just a turbine.

Technically, you don't need a new turbo to get there. There was a guy with 700hp on stock turbo and internals. He was using full bolt ons and meth to get there.

I'd imagine any stage 3 turbo kit would get you to 500whp quite easily.

probably a pure 800 or vargc gc+ with upgraded hpfp.

its diffcult to find dynos on just 93oct outside of fbo since most ppl go e85 or meth once they upgrade their turbos.

you will need a custom tune. you can use the off the shelf tunes from mhd and bm3 to get you home but its not recommended for hard driving

I have looked into those but wonder if they are overkills given that I don't need that much hp. I can always have my custom tuner detune but don't bigger turbos spools too slow thus too much lag and bad throttle response?

I was hoping to get away with pure stage 1 with less lag but not sure if they are just selling just a turbine or with new housing as well.

E85 is nice but closest is like 11 mi away and traffic here in Portland is really bad. Internet search advice against storing gas in the garage....

Now that you mention that you live in Portland, why don't you replace the down pipe? My dad works at a DEQ, and they don't look under the hood. They just plug into your OBD2 reader, and send you on your way.

Seriously, there's a reason every subie is loud as hell, and it's not because they have the stock down pipe.

Seriously? That's good information. I'll still get high flow cause I don't like the smell.

Not possible. Would you happen to have a link?

My bad. He is using a stage 2 turbo, but that's still pretty damn impressive.

Yeah, about 510-520 WHP is max on a B58 stock turbo with meth/E50. Still pretty stout.
