Guys,

I drive a 2019 240ix and I'm running BM3 stage 1 and xHP stage 3 on my car.
BM3 tells me that BMW SW updates will lock my DME up so I wonder:
For those who bought 240i in 2019, did you have to do SW updates since you bought it? If so when? Was the update crucial?
If yes, I wonder if I should just tell the SA that it's tuned so don't touch the SW at all.
If no, then there's no need to pre-admit guilt... right?

I bought a 2019 in March 2019 and did have a DME software update applied under a recall. I think it was emissions related, probably required here in Massachusetts.

I'm not running a tune so I didn't think to ask.

That was May 2020, although I may have gotten a recall notification 2-3 months before that.

The recall number was B122019
