Once your car is in transit call or email BMWGenius@BMWUSA. With your VIN number they will be able to give you your ship's name and your eta. Track your ship on a marine traffic website. My car left Bremerhaven on Sep. 2. It went around the tip of South America, instead of through the Panama Canal, on it's way to Chile. My eta to Oxnard,CA is Oct. 25.

Thanks for the info. The genius told me it went on the K Line Horizon Highway Oct. 4th. I'm tracking it and it's on its second port, Southhampton GB. Whenever it leaves there, it'll go to Baltimore MD first, then arrive Oct. 19 at Brunswick GA and then transits to FL. I guess your ship really took the long route. I guess this is why it's called "taking the slow boat". Good luck with yours and enjoy it!

Yay! SuperCar is almost here! It finally got to the port in Brunswick, GA and I assume it's on a truck now to Florida. Not sure exactly where it is now.

It's arriving late because the ship, Horizon Highway, broke down at sea, went adrift, and had to be towed to the port in Halifax. It sat there 4 days. I had been tracking it and it just stopped and sat off the coast of England for a few days. I said, "what the heck?", did a search on the internet and found a news article w/photo showing it towed in. I called the shipping company and a nice lady gave me the details. It supposedly got a vapor lock...(must be more complicated to fix compared to a car) Anyone else's car on the Horizon Highway?

It should be at the dealer any day...Too bad it'll be raining because we're going to have a tropical storm/hurricane this week. Was hoping for sunshine.

Wow! I had wondered if you ever got the car. Mine is on the Orion Highway and is due into Baltimore Thursday at 0600 so it should be down to Brunswick early next week. Glad it is getting close for you.

It's finally at the dealer! Checked again early afternoon today and it said it was there. We're going to get it tomorrow afternoon. Yay!

Hello i've been following this post for quite some time now and I'am happy to see everyone getting their m240's!

I placed an order for mine early October and it just finished production/assembly and is now at the port. From my understanding, from port to dealership is around 3 weeks timeframe, is that correct? I was hoping to get it sooner, but I called bmw and they told me it may take up to 4 weeks.

I just wanted some advice from your guy's personal experience with the eta from when the car is in transit/ at the port to the dealership. I'am in new york so the east coast should be receiving it sooner right?

Bmw hasn't given me a potential ETA yet.

Maybe someone with a NY delivery will chime in. My ship went to two European ports before it went to Baltimore and finally Brunswick. No stop in NY. So the ships take slightly different routes. My ship left the port on 28 Oct and hit Brunswick on the 18th of November. Car hit the dealership on the 21st and I took delivery on the 24th. Looks like just under 30 days. Shave 3-4 off if NY is the first stop from the Continent. There might be a stop in Canada.

My dealer has been sketchy and over optimistic with it promises. Mine is waiting to leave Germany too. I figure I'll be lucky to get it by Christmas.
